Pastini 911 SW Taylor St

Annen Design Industies was hired to develop a distinct identity for this fledgling local chain of restaurants. Working closely with the clients we created a dining atmosphere that is both convivial and dignified. Logo image, artwork, colors and materials, seating types and lighting were all discussed and distilled into a recognizable whole that is 'Pastini'.

The fifth Pastini, this cavernous space next to the Guild Theater was originally divided into five retail spaces on three different levels. A design challenge to define the main entry and resolve the circulation to the upper and lower levels without consuming precious dining area. Ramping was located in front of the kitchen pick-up line and this allowed for steps between the three separate dining areas. Using the material palette we developed the design and layout of the restaurant based on the previous four Pastini locations, Ankrom Moisan served as the architects of record, carrying the project through the permitting phase.
